Installation & management of operating systems, application software, accounts, network along with managing changes in server / devices.
Maintaining system / device configuration and policies, system updates and enhancements.
Performance tuning of server / devices, managing availability.
Implementation of network / services security procedures and tools.
Documentation of procedures, policy update.
Troubleshooting OS and hardware interoperability issues.
In-house user support and other support tasks (onsite & remote).
Training and management of lower level administrators.
Requirements
Certification on Linux System Administration. Certification from Microsoft or Cisco networking technology would be preferred. AND / OR
Extensive experience in managing servers, network and user-support.
Key Skills
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a Linux (Primarily RHEL) Administrator performing the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
Advance Knowledge of essential network services such as DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP, SQUID POSTFIX, LDAP, SAMBA, DRBD (LDAP-SAMBA Integration).
MYSQL implementation, maintenance etc.
Advance Knowledge of Bash / Shell / Pearl Scripting.
Automation Tool: Puppet Server, Ansible.
Monitoring Tool: Nagios.
Exposure on cloud platform.
Awareness of ISMS and IT Documentation (Network, System Administration).
